Description
Melanie-Anne Holland serves as the Mission Leader and National Contact Point for Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking at The Salvation Army. With a 21-year tenure as a Salvation Army officer in Australia, Melanie-Anne has held diverse roles, including pastoral ministry in various corps along the East coast. Her appointments have also encompassed areas such as homelessness, modern slavery and trafficking response, youth work, chaplaincy, and environmental justice.
Melanie-Anne will be drawing from her experiences within the Safe House team to shed light on the importance of access to further education, the existing obstacles to education and skills recognition, and the transformative potential of education for survivors of modern slavery.
