Bianca Hoare is a Year 12 student and Captain of Social Justice at Barker College. Through her leadership of the student-led initiative, Footprint Club, she promotes an undervalued catalyst of positive change: youth advocacy. She is passionate about grass-root approaches to combating pervasive sexist attitudes and recognizes the transformative power of education. Ultimately, this International Women’s Day, she hopes to share her perspective on what it means to be a young woman and highlight potential remedies to enduring social and cultural issues. She firmly believes that both our local and global communities must shoulder the responsibility of fostering a future that is free of harmful assumptions and stereotypes.
